Dorset's blooming wildflower verges are roadside haven for wildlife
If you live in East Dorset, around Sturminster Marshall, Broadstone or Six Penny Handley, you may have noticed wildflowers adorning some of the roadside verges.
They're not there by accident. These glorious bands of colour are there because of the hard work of a team of dedicated groundsmen who, David Bellamy like, have been creating a haven for wildlife across their patch of the county.
One of the men behind it all is Daryl Pearce, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for Dorset Council in the East.
