How Ebola was discovered
Professor Peter Piot, Director of the London School of Tropical Medicine, tells us about a time when a lab he worked in received a blue thermos flask containing the blood of a nun who had died from a mysterious illness. He had never seen anything like it before. After tests, a new virus was confirmed - the disease was called Ebola.
