Tory leadership race
The Tory leadership contest reaches a new stage this week with hustings in parliament
Former Chancellor Ken Clarke tells Today the Tory Party leadership contest is a "shambles" and that there are too many people running. Senior Conservatives will meet on Monday afternoon to discuss whether to change the rules so potential candidates need more supporters to begin their bid. Currently, MPs only require the backing of two parliamentary colleagues to stand in the leadership race. A final decision will be made on Tuesday. We also hear from deputy political editor of the Spectator Katy Balls, and host of The Political Party podcast and former Labour Party advisor Matt Forde.
