I 'never expected' to be revolution icon
When 22-year-old student Alaa Salah led a crowd of protesters in reciting a poem her image went viral and quickly went on to symbolise Sudan鈥檚 revolution.
Three days later Omar al-Bashir was removed, but the protesters have yet to achieve their goal of a total end to military rule.
She tells Zeinab Badawi that the protestors want to build a better Sudan and she never expected to be labelled "the icon of the revolution".
