Scots owe thousands from tax avoidance

A huge number of Scottish football fans have become familiar with an obscure section of income tax law over recent years, since HMRC took an interest in the goings on at Rangers Football Club.

In cases that stretch back up to 20 years, people have been told they owe tens of thousands of pounds in unpaid tax after receiving payments in the form of loans.
