The Exiles made an immediate return to the Premiership following relegation last year.

London Irish Director of Rugby Declan Kidney was delighted to guide his side to the Championship title, and with it gain promotion back to English rugby's top flight.

"I'm delighted for [my players]," Kidney told 91热爆 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "I know how hard they've worked at it.

"It is a fantastic Championship, some of the teams we come up against, and the coaches, they really know their stuff."

And Kidney is aware that Irish need to keep improving to stay in the Premiership next season.

"We know that we're far from the finished article.

"We're going to need to pay at our best to play against some of the teams in the Premiership."
