Dead rats used to smuggle prison contraband
Drugs, tobacco and mobile phones were smuggled into a prison stuffed inside dead rats.
The contraband was sewn into the bodies of three rats found by officers in early March in the grounds of HMP Guys Marsh near Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Sarah Rigby from the Prison Officers Association, the union representing officers in the South West knows Guys Marsh prison well and explained how prisoners used this gruesome method and other means to smuggle in the prohibited items.
