Drewe Broughton: Vulnerability
Vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness. In this week鈥檚 episode of DTMTS ex footballer turned holistic coach Drewe Broughton sits down with Simon Mundie to discuss its power.
It鈥檚 not easy being vulnerable. Being honest with yourself and others about how you really feel. Many of us try to guard against vulnerability, thinking it's a sign of weakness but the opposite is true. In this week鈥檚 episode of Don鈥檛 Tell Me The Score ex footballer Drewe Broughton sits down with Simon Mundie to discuss vulnerability. Drewe had 22 clubs in a nomadic 17 year career and never fulfilled his undoubted potential. It wasn鈥檛 through lack of application, in fact he tried to control too much. It wasn鈥檛 until he retired and hit rock bottom that he understood where his life was going wrong. A spell in rehab led him to the importance of surrender and vulnerability, and now Drewe teaches young players how to avoid those same pitfalls he made. Not by giving them advice, but by encouraging them to be vulnerable and get in touch with their own inner wisdom.
