NHS England chief Simon Stevens on how the long-term plan could save up to 500,000 lives
NHS England chief Simon Stevens tells Today that the new 10-year plan for the health service will aim to "change the diagnostic model" for cancer and reduce waiting lists for surgery. NHS bosses say that the plan could save up to 500,000 lives by focusing on prevention, and investing heavily in community care, GPs and mental health.
