Learning to swim at 73
Learning to swim is something that many of us learn to do from a younger age.
But swimming ability declines with age. A 2016 Yougov survey said that one in five (20%) of people aged 65+ said they could not swim, making this age group the most inept in the water.
73-year-old Beverley started swimming in September. Her lifelong fear of water meant she washed her hair in the sink rather than get her face wet in the shower.
