Smaller energy suppliers under pressure
As two, smaller energy supply companies, Spark and Extra Energy, go bust in the space of just one week we find out about the wider state of the market. Increasing wholesale prices, the energy price cap and intense competition are putting more pressure on supply companies, especially smaller ones. But in the fight for customers are low prices used to attract consumers actually forcing companies out of business? Independent energy analyst Ellen Fraser from Baringa gives us her opinion.
