The Quakers disinvest in any companies that 'profited from the occupation of Palestine'
The Quakers announced that they would not invest in any companies that 'profited from the occupation of Palestine' - citing their long engagement with the region, and their belief in effecting change through peaceful means. It is the first church to make such a move in the UK. The president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews called it an 'appalling' and 'biased' decision.
