Sexual Violence In South Africa
In 2016 over 70,000 women in South Africa experienced sexual violence, almost double the figure from the previous year. That's according to the latest report released by Statistics South Africa. The country has some of the highest rates of sexual violence in the world. A summit to tackle the surge in gender based violence against women and girls is taking place in Pretoria over the next few days.
