This week Jo’s Festival Flashback guest is Stephen McGann, who spoke to Jo at the 2016 Cheltenham Science Festival about how a medical drama like Call The Midwife gets the balance right between accuracy and storytelling. To mark Remembrance Sunday Jo visits an exhibition in Cheltenham that’s in response to a World War One archive and community project…. And she also finds out about the story behind the Gloucester Gladiator Biplane that took part in active combat in the Second World War and the frame of it now lives in the Jet Age Museum in Staverton. Plus you’ll hear about the new mural in Coleford that celebrates three famous Forest of Dean writers.
