RAF Harrowbeer

Michael explores some of Devon's World War Two history.

Few people visiting a popular beauty spot near Yelverton are aware that it was once an important RAF airfield protecting the city of Plymouth from German attack. A group of enthusiastic locals are now uncovering the history of RAF Harrowbeer. Tonight they'll be telling Michael some of the extraordinary stories they've uncovered - including visits by Glenn Miller and President Trueman.
