Jane and David - Where Do We Belong?
Husband and wife David and Jane have led a peripatetic life. In recent years they've settled in Campbeltown, one of the most geographically isolated towns in mainland Britain. David's family home is here. It belonged to his grandmother, then his father, and now it's been passed down to him... David was born in the house and feels a responsibility towards it's upkeep. He's more emotionally rooted to both Campbeltown and their house than Jane is. As they both consider getting older and how remote they are to the rest of their family, they question if this home is really 'home' for both of them.
This conversation was recorded on location in Campbeltown Picture House. It originally opened in 1913 and was one of the first purpose-built cinemas in Scotland. In November 2017, the cinema was reopened after a full refurbishment. Jane and David were heavily involved in helping the cinema come back to life.
