Acapulco police force "infiltrated by criminal groups"
When a country's army is sent in to disarm the police, things are getting pretty bad. Mexico's military mounted a large ground and air operation to arrest police chiefs on murder charges in the city of Acapulco amid accusations that the police force there is under the control of drugs gangs. Dan Damon spoke to Dr Shadi Whitburn, a criminologist who researches the impact of drug violence in Mexico.
