Nobel scientist - Why I burned out

Professor Françoise Barré-Sinoussi was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2008 for her work not only identifying HIV as the cause of AIDS in 1983, but also going on to develop diagnostic tools and effective treatments for the disease. However, working in such a high-pressure field for so long took its toll, and in the late 1990s she says she had a burn-out.
