"When I was eight I started tracking wildlife"
Explorer and survival expert Ray Mears joined 91热爆 Radio Berkshire's Kirsten O'Brien, and explained how he made a career in the outdoors.
Ray Mears, Explorer and Survival Expert:
"I was given a book for Christmas on animal tracks and science, I wanted to stay out eventually and camp, but I didn't have any camping equipment.
"The school I went to taught Judo and the teacher had fought behind the lines in Burma. He said 'you don't need any equipment' and that's how it all started.
"I've never played a computer game in my life, it was a different time. I don't think children have changed, they are the same but the world around them has changed."
