"It is probably the most beautiful road I've ever ridden in my life"
For most Berkshire residents, the prospect of travelling for three years in often grueling conditions just to get to Reading probably doesn't sound very appealing.
Tim Millikin set off on this epic journey in May 2015, and 1081 days later he has returned to the UK Reading to share the story of his adventure.
Tim Millikin, Cyclist:
"There are a couple of places, the mountain regions of the lower Himalayas in Kyrgyzstan is probably the most beautiful road I have ever ridden on.
"Then you come down from that high point it is the most beautiful ride.
"You are climbing for maybe 6/7 hours a day...it was cold, it was -7 in the day and -15 in the night. But the people are really friendly in the villages, it was brilliant."
