SUNDAY 26th AUGUST
It's the Plant Fairs Roadshow Event at The Walled Nursery, Hawkhurst, TN18 5DH today between 11-4pm. Admission is 拢2 and nurseries like Pineview Plants, Little Omenden Nursery, Sussex Fruit Trees, Invicta Herbs, Pelham Plants, Plantbase, Swallowfields, Wheelgate Nursery, Copton Ash, Blueleaf Plants, Kent group of Hardy Plant Society and Tom Critchley garden ornaments will all be offering their wares.
There's also the Walled Nursery's own choice plants, bulbs and containers etc and the Vinery Cafe on hand with its own mouthwatering selections, a great bank holiday day out!
Teston Church continue their Flower Festival today and tomorrow - the Theme is "Inspiring Women and is Open 11 till 5
Admission Free-Donations welcome. There's also a Sale and Exhibition of Art and Craft, Teas and Ploughman's Lunches in the Village Hall, Stalls in the Churchyard...Craft, Books, Cakes, Preserves, Produce and Pre-Loved China Pieces etc.
The Flower Festival Service is at 6.30pm Sunday.
The Challock Flower Festival continues today and tomorrow aswell.....
The theme is Music and Musicals and is open between 10 am to 5 pm

Lullingstone Castle's Plant Hunters Weekend is in full swing throughout the Bank Holiday weekend - 11am - 5pm - 拢10 Adults, Children under 15 go FREE
Celebrating the lives of some of Britain's most intrepid plant hunters, Tom Hart-Dyke and friends in Victorian dress lead a guided tour of the World Garden at 1.30 and 3.30pm - join at any time! Visitors are offered a unique glimpse into the past to experience an authentic plant hunter's expedition camp, complete with plant presses, roaring fire, porters and canvas tents. They will be joined again by Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) who have very special animals and reptile guests joining us during the garden tour. SCAR expert handlers during the tour will showcase different animals to see amongst the continents to truly bring the tour alive.
Appledore Flower Festival also takes place at Appledore Church today between midday and 5.30 and Bank Holiday Monday from 10 until 5.30. The theme is 'as the saying goes'.....
MONDAY 27th AUGUST
Great Mongeham Horticultural Society will be holding their Annual Bank Holiday Flower Show in the Parish Hall from 9am to 3pm. There will be classes for flowers, fruit, floral art, vegetables, handicrafts, cookery, photography and children's entries. Refreshments will be on sale in the marquee. A boot fair will be held on the village green at the same time. Entrance to both is 30 pence. New members are always welcome.
THURSDAY 30th AUGUST
Hythe Garden Shop have a daytrip to Saville Gardens - you can book your tickets from the shop on Hythe High Street.
SATURDAY 1st SEPT
Northbourne & Betteshanger Horticultural Society are holding their Annual Autumn Show in Northbourne Parish Hall, The Drove, Northbourne, near. Deal.
The show is open to both members & non-members & is open to the public at 2.p.m. with presentation of prizes at 4 p.m. Admission is free & refreshments are available.
Iris of Sissinghurst is holding an open day from 10 to 4 in the afternoon. Now is a good time to plant iris and they have some new introductions of bearded iris along with a selection of iris sibirica and water iris.
Sue Marshall and her team will be on hand to give advice and help on the planting and maintenance of iris and the conditions that the different varieties require.
Maidstone Horticultural Society hold their Late Summer Show from 1.30 - 4.00 pm at the Baptist Church Halls, Knightrider Street, Maidstone. Entry: Adults - 50p Children - Free. Displays of dahlias, other flowers and plants, cookery, photography, crafts and floral art. Also children's classes, plants for sale and lots more. Tea, coffee and homemade cakes available as well.
Otford Gardeners Society hold their Autumn Flower and Craft Show displaying the best of the season's flower fruit and vegetables. There's also cookery, photography and flower arranging courses between 2.15 and 4.15. It all takes place at Otford Village Memorial Hall on the High Street.
Thornton House on Gorsewood Road in Hartley opens it's doors for Ellenor hospice - there's a large varied garden, a developing Japanese garden, vegetable plot, chickens and bees... Plus a botanical art studio. It's 拢5 entry including tea and cake and is open between 2 and 5pm.
