The Queen of Dictionary Corner
Susie Dent has been the voice on Dictionary Corner on Channel 4's Countdown since 1992, working alongside the likes of Des Lynham, Jeff Stelling and the late Richard Whitely on a show that regularly attracts millions of viewers in it's mid afternoon slot.
Well now Susie, who went to school in Ascot is embarking on her very first tour - and she's coming to Newbury.
She shared some of her favourite words with 91热爆 Radio Berkshire's Kirsten O'Brien.
Susie Dent, Broadcaster and English Lexicographer and Etymologist:
"I have loads, and they do kind of change according to the seasons and according to my mood. One of my all-time favourites is Halcyon, it's such a beautiful word.
"Thunderplump, we could all do with that right now.
"There are so many but I also like the world blurb... I don't know."
