This teenager’s invention could help millions around the world
Maanasa Mendu is just 15 years old but the Ohio native has already created a device that could help bring cheap electricity to developing countries. Awarded the title ‘America’s Top Young Scientist’ for her invention, she came up with the idea for Harvest after going on a family holiday to India and seeing for herself how many people lived in darkness without electricity.
