Today correspondent Matthew Price speaks to people struggling with poverty across the UK
The poorest families in Britain are continuing to slip deeper into poverty, new analysis of government figures suggests. Researchers at University of York found families with children living below the poverty line are now, on average, 拢63 per week short of that threshold, after accounting for housing costs.The government contests those figures, saying there are problems recording incomes for this group of households.
Our chief correspondent Matthew Price speaks to people across the country who find themselves struggling. In the first two parts, he travels to Hartlepool and Norwich.
