Right spirit could bring England far in World Cup
Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has revealed England might have an ‘outsider’s chance’ to win the World Cup if the spirit is right in the team. The ex-German international, who reached the World Cup final in 2002, conceded that the Three Lions won’t be favourites in Russia, but explained that he sees some similarities with Germany, with their team spirit and physical work rate making them difficult to beat in the past. He expressed a confident feeling about the chances of his own country, hailing the squad as a “young team with a lot of creativity.â€
