Esther Rantzen celebrates 50 years of broadcasting
Dame Esther Rantzen is celebrating 50 years of broadcasting. Having made her name on 'That's Life' she'll be joined by her daughter on a new tour, coming to Henley next month.
The duo joined 91热爆 Radio Berkshire's Sarah Walker for a chat, and explained how she managed to get arrested while working for the 91热爆.
Esther Rantzen:
"I don't often admit to it...but what happened, part of my life was as a street walker. Doing street interviews, and I was handing bat soup to people.
"A policeman decided I was obstructing people as they were doing by. He told me to move along, so I did so slightly but not enough for him.
"Because I'd not been arrested before I accidentally got into the wrong door, which mean't the policeman had to climb into the back of the car."
