Sir Elton: "If I had to choose between music and my children there's only one winner"

Sir Elton John has told 5 live that he wants to make sure that the "last part" of his life is all about his children.

Speaking to Nihal Arthanayake on Afternoon Edition to promote his new album Revamp, the pop legend revealed that he was taking his sons on part of his upcoming world tour because he "misses everything about them" when he's away.

The singer, who has sold more than 300 million records, added; "I never thought I'd be a dad, and it's come to me late in life and I'm going to seize it with both hands."

He also revealed that he was aware of the unique pressures his sons will face growing up because of their parents' celebrity status; "It is the hardest thing to be the child of a famous person, but they're going to be able to do whatever they want".

This clip is from Afternoon Edition on Thursday 12 April 2018.
