The Lost Tapes
Ìý
In 1974, Tim Fisher (AKA Van Rockman) was performing alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple - and during one of these gigs, he was spotted by EMI.
Ìý
However, the two talent scouts left the company taking the only copy of the original tape with them and Van Rockman's chance was gone.
Ìý
"These were the days when time, effort and expense meant re-recording the demo was too daunting a task for a fledgling rock band," says Tim.
Ìý
But three decades later, while Tim was helping his mum move house, he discovered a studio backup copy in her attic!
Ìý
With the discovery of this tape, Tim pulled the original members back together to finally record an album, which has just been picked up by Universal and is achievingÌýmassive success in America, Brazil and Japan.
Ìý
Rather fittingly, he's called the album 'The Lost Tapes'!
