Opening up about mental health in Uganda
Mental health is not something that is talked about much in Uganda - people find it difficult to share their experiences with family or friends because of the social stigma attached to conditions like depression, bio-polar disorder, and dementia.
Liz Kakooza and Sarah Tushemereirwe have decided to talk openly about their struggles with mental health issues. Newsday's David Whitty met them at a caf茅 in Kampala to find out why they want to encourage a public conversation.
