Vladimir Putin is set for another six years in power after a sweeping election victory
Vladimir Putin has described his re-election as Russia's president as a sign of "confidence and hope". But for most observers the result was never in doubt after the Kremlin barred his main challenger from running, controlled the media and was prepared to rig the ballot so brazenly that ballot boxes were stuffed in front of cameras.
President Putin will now serve another six years in office. But what will he do with his new term and enhanced authority?
