Tory MP: Resolving Irish border is 'red line'
Conservative MP George Freeman has told The Westminster Hour that it would be "impossible" to support a Brexit that cannot find a solution to the Irish border question. The Mid Norfolk backbencher said Theresa May's commitments are "irreconcilable" with Europe's expectations and warned that the issue is a "red line" for him and other Conservative colleagues. He added: "I would find it very difficult to vote for a Brexit that puts a border back between the north and south in Ireland and creates a cliff edge for investment next spring."
