Perfect Day 2018: Why Asma campaigned to play basketball
Asma was told that no headgear over 5cm could be worn in a basketball game - which excluded anyone who wears a hijab or other types of religious headgear. She was one of a group of Muslim women worldwide who campaigned for the rule to be changed – allowing her to play the sport she loves and practise her faith at the same time.
