Eddy Amoo, the founding member of 1970s soul band The Real Thing has died at the age of 73. They were the first all-black British band to have a UK number one single with "You to me are Everything" which topped the charts in 1976. They hail from Liverpool, and have been dubbed as the black Beatles.
