Kenya's maize farmers had a tough 2017. The caterpillar-like army worm ravaged their crops and then late rains ruined their harvests. But the sector is also feeling the pinch when it comes to trade, with the ripple effect of renewed political tensions making cross-country trade an uneasy affair.
