'I'm a lot more positive than I was last year'

In 2017, the new mining charter in South Africa caused uproar among the mining companies - mainly, they say, because they weren't consulted on it. The charter has a number of provisions from increasing black ownership and company board participation, to a slice of the revenues allocated to local communities. The 91热爆's Matthew Davies sat down with Neal Froneman, chief executive of the gold and platinum mining company Sibanye-Stillwater, and asked him for his views on the charter.
