The man who forgot his mum had died
On a night out to mark the one-year anniversary of his mum’s death, Peter was punched in the head, resulting in a brain injury that left him in a coma.
When he awoke, he had lost a large portion of his memory, including any knowledge of that his mum had passed away.
Peter struggled to retain information, and had to be told the news repeatedly, causing him relive his grief over and over:
“It was like I relived it over and over again. I was still asking for my mum, because I know that throughout my life whenever I was in any sort of danger, trouble, anything like that, I knew that I could ring my mum and she would make it better."
He is now recovering and moving forward with his life.
