100 Years of Women: Literature
We are searching for the most influential woman in the UK in the past 100 years
To mark 100 years since some women won the right to vote we're launching a Today survey of the most influential British woman in the past century. The Representation of the People Act of 1918 gave about 40% of women the right to vote for the first time and paved the way for the introduction of universal suffrage 10 years later. Today we're looking at literature and writers.
