From the brink of death to the Rugby League World Cup
In 2015, journalist Gary Carter was left fighting for his life after being viciously assaulted outside a pub in London.
Gary had been reporting on a rugby league match between England and New Zealand.
After falling into the road and hitting his head, he went into a coma.
Six weeks later, Gary came out unable to speak or walk, before suffering a cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.
But, two years on, Gary is able to walk again and is reporting on the Rugby League World Cup final between Australia and England in Brisbane.
