Parent support groups are an 鈥榓bsolute lifeline'
Having a child can be a daunting prospect for some people, but there parenting groups that can help with advice and support.
鈥淎 lot of our groups focus on the theme of looking after yourself and making time for you, which is something that鈥檚 really difficult to do when you鈥檝e got young children,鈥 said Ellie Thouret, one of the directors of the Cheshire Parents Collective.
鈥淕roups like this are an absolute lifeline really. It can be a lonely time if you don鈥檛 know anyone else with a small baby,鈥 added mum of two, Donna.
鈥淏ecause I don鈥檛 have any family that lives locally to me鈥eeting other mums kind of fills that gap for you, like a little bit of emotional support,鈥 said C.P.C. member and mum Kelly.
