2018 Tour de France could be lost on cobblestones – Froome
Four-time winner Chris Froome says he has to adapt to an ever-increasingly difficult Tour de France course, with some calling the 2018 race an ‘Anti-Froome’ route.
The Team Sky rider was present for the unveiling of the 2018 Tour route on Tuesday, which features a return to the cobblestones of Roubaix and finishes at the Alpe d’Huez.
Froome feels the race for the title could easily be lost in what he called an “extremely crucial” first nine days in northwest France.
