To mark 60 years of Today we are looking back at how Britain has changed in that time, including political shifts.

Co-founder of the Social Democratic Party, Lord Owen, David Owen, says the centre ground of British politics is now with Brexit.

Lord Owen added Europe has split the political parties since 1962 and the "elite" have failed to understand that their "European project has been rejected by a large number of the British population".
