When this programme first came on the air 60 years ago British food was famous. Famously awful.

Food is something many of you have pointed to as one of the really big areas in which Britain has changed in the past 60 years.

We have been talking to the Evening Standard's restaurant critic Fay Maschler about how our expectations of British cuisine has developed over this time.
