Hurricanes and global warming
Sea temperatures are increasing, making hurricanes more intense. Professor James Elsner, an expert on the influence of climate change on hurricanes at Florida State University, describes how the increasing intensity of storms like Hurricane Irma warrant adding categories beyond the highest level of category five.
