Basingstoke Bison: Connolly excited for season start
The Bison captain wants to get going in a new format league.
Basingstoke Bison face Invicta Dynamos in their first game in the newly designed league.
"The EPL, as it was known, that we were in last year, has kind of collapsed," Connolly told 91Èȱ¬ Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "We've all formed this new NIHL.
"There's a lot of new teams, a lot of new rinks, so it's quite exciting."
And Connolly is looking forward to the first game of the season.
"Invicta Dynamos holds a personal spot for me because that's where I started my career.
"They've kind of dominated the NIHL to a certain level...I think it's going to be a really good test for us."
