WWII spy and war hero Pino Lella's life is to be made into a film
A Hollywood film is to be made of little known war hero Pino Lella鈥檚 life. 91-year-old Lella was 17 when he risked his life to smuggle Jews out of Mussolini鈥檚 Italy, before spying on the Nazis while employed as a driver for a German general.
Michael Lella, son of Pino Lella, and Mark Sullivan, author of Beneath a Scarlet Sky which is the basis of the film, discuss Mr Lella's extraordinary life.
