A Level Results Day: "We're in a very competitive situation"
Sir David Bell spoke to 91热爆 Radio Berkshire's Paul Coia on A Level results day about a fall in the number of students looking to attend University.
Sir David Bell, University of Reading Vice Chancellor:
"Universities are competing for student numbers, and students are never really sure what their A level results, so this day Universities are prepared to make some adjustments to their usual offers.
"The student has to be comfortable when they decide where they're going to go.
"We can't complain about levels of funding, the tuition fee rises were meant to make up for a fall in Government funding, but as always the costs are rising.
"Higher education is worth doing...University is still a great option."
