Bad Roads: Romance in a war zone
Harrowing and bitterly funny, playwright Natal鈥檡a Vorozhbit's Bad Roads is set during the contemporary Ukrainian conflict and examines war from a female perspective. In this extract, an unlikely tale of lust and desire is told from a journey into a war zone.
Bad Roads was written by Vorozhbit, translated by Sasha Dugdale and directed by Vicky Featherstone. A Royal Court Theatre production, it is part of the International Festival and British Council's Spirit of '47 season of events.
