Campaigners involved in the fight against knife crime in Gloucestershire say they can help police tackle the problem.

Recent figures show the number of incidents involving knives in Gloucestershire has increased by 33 per cent.

There were 261 incidents in the year ending April 2017 - compared to 196 in the previous 12 months.

Gloucestershire Police run a number of anti-knife initiatives but campaigners are calling for a cohesive strategy involving different groups and organisations.
