Tour de France commentator Simon Brotherton explains Chris Froome's biggest popularity problem with fans in France.

The Team Sky rider is now second in the all-time winners list after taking the Tour de France for a fourth time.

Brotherton said: "I think Chris Froome's biggest problem in terms of his popularity, certainly in France, is that he hasn't lost the Tour de France by 15 seconds and been heroic and gentlemanly and come back again.

"They love a heroic failure more than a great champion in many respects."
