Loch Doon Spitfire goes on public display
A restored World War Two Spitfire has gone on public display in Dumfries.
The plane crashed during a training flight in 1941 and was salvaged from Loch Doon in Ayrshire.
David Reid, of Dumfries and Galloway Aviation Museum which commissioned its restoration 40 years ago, says it's " the most famous Second World War aircraft".
